The Forrest Family
Rex's father, the late Balfour Greig Forrest came to Rosstulla as a young child in 1918. The family established farming operations both at the homestead and at 'Sheepstation'. Over the years the two older boys in the family continued farming and the land was divided between them. Rex's cousins still live and farm next door.
On leaving school Rex and his older brother Barrie came home to Rosstulla and have worked the land ever since. For ten years in the late 1970's Rex, his brother Barrie and their parents worked in Partnership. In 1989 Rex's parents retired from the partnership and on 30th June 1998 Barrie, due to ill health also retired from the partnership and passed away in March 2000.
Rex and Trish now operate both Rosstulla Holdings and Trish Forrest Communications - a tourism and business consultancy which specialises in small business support. In 2006 our daughter Narelle passed her Certificate II in horticulture and in June joined us as a Rural Operations Trainee.
